Marquez menjadi yang tercepat pada hari pertama test di Sepang.
Berfokus pada kualitas daripada kuantitas, Marc Marquez dengan cepat kembali ke kecepatan di Tes Sepang saat ia menetapkan waktu tercepat hari itu.
Dengan awal yang sulit untuk melanjutkan di Sirkuit Internasional Sepang, Tim Repsol Honda ingin segera mulai dan Marc Marquez segera memasuki lintasan. Selama musim dingin, sejumlah bagian dan modifikasi baru telah dibuat untuk RC213V untuk memastikan itu akan sekali lagi menantang untuk Kejuaraan Dunia MotoGP ™. Kondisi itu memberi Marquez kesempatan untuk memahami Honda RC213V 2019 dan kondisi bahu kirinya.
Pembalap Test Resmi Stefan Bradl melanjutkan naik RC213V, dan berhasil menyelesaikan 61 lap dan mengakhiri hari pertama di tempat kesembilan.
Sementara itu mengejutkan sekali di tim pabrikan suzuki ecstar yaitu alex rins berhasil berada di posisi kedua tercepat setelah marc marquez selisih 0,259 lebih lambat di bawahnya dan di posisi ketiga ada maverick vinales. Sedangkan mbah valentino rossi harus puas di pososo keenam

“I’m very happy to ride again after a long winter, but I was expecting to be better than I was. I still don’t have full power, for one or two laps it’s ok but I had to change my riding style to compensate. We stopped early to save myself for the rest of the test, there are still two days and we will see what the feeling is. Honda have been working really hard this winter and we tried a few things, but the list is really big. We’re trying the most important things first. The bike is already at a good point, but there’s always more to try before Qatar.”
